Colors

Crayola Company

Should sell a new box of crayons

All one color.

Blue is my favorite.

Red is nice, too.

If there were only one color in the world,

Maybe we’d all get along.

Yet, how dull life would be

With only one color

Without tone or hue

Without the rainbow.

Black, brown, green, yellow,

All crayons are made of the same stuff.

Black, brown, beige, yellow,

All people unique,

All people the same.

We love, we live, we laugh, we cry.

We want good things for our families, our neighbors, our country.

Can I change my vote? I don’t want just one color.

I’d rather celebrate the kaleidoscope of beauty

In the box.
